The Management of Smallholder Economic Interest Farmers Agricultural Cooperative (SEIFAC) has frowned at some members planning to protest against the delay in the release of funds by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

This is contained in a communique signed by the National Programme Coordinator of SEIFAC, Mr. Patrick Abur, and made available to SEIFAC media on Tuesday in Abuja.

The Communique reads ” we are using this platform to caution some members of SEIFAC who are planning to embark on industrial action by obstructing activities of Heritage Bank.

” We want to state categorically that Heritage Bank is only responsible for account opening and documentation for members and not the financier. The CBN is the financier of this Anchor Borrower’s Programme (ABP)”.

The Communique appeals to members to visit any Heritage branch nationwide to activate their SEIFAC/Heritage Bank co-branded ATM cards. It added ” Members should exercise patience as we are close to success noting that embracing violence or protest may jeopardize the entire long-awaited struggle.
