In a bid to avoid falling victims to scammers, the management of  Smallholder Economic Interest Farmers Agricultural Cooperative (SEIFAC) has taken a proactive step by cautioning her members to ignore any loan approval by SMS, email, and on social media, any loan approval by SMS, email, and on social media, while the ugly situation has been reported to the appropriate security authorities to clamp down on the perpetrators of this ill art.

This is contained in a statement duly signed by the National Programme Coordinator of SEIFAC, Mr. Patrick Abur, and made available to the media on Thursday.

The statement reads ” Any loan approval message either by SMS, email and social media are fake as such message doesn’t emanate from SEIFAC.

” We are appealing to you to be careful not to fall prey in the hands of fraudsters with miscreants activities as SEIFAC will never ask her members to pay money into any other account apart from their SEIFAC Project Wallet Account”.

The Programme Coordinator called on members to reach SEIFAC through the Support Team with the contact 08132385944 and to always visit the SEIFAC website on as the only authorized means of getting updates on the activities of the organization.

Meanwhile, the SEIFAC boss has notified members that they will see a debit alert of N200.00 (Two Hundred Naira) only as a fee for co-branding of their debit card.

According to the NPC, members who are yet to get their Project Wallet Account Numbers will get it in October 2021 as SEIFAC and its PFI – Heritage Bank PLC are working tirelessly to achieve this. While those yet to deposit the mandatory N2,000.00 (Two Thousand Naira) only minimum balance are at liberty to do so now.

He stressed that those members who deposited below the minimum balance are advised to make up their balance.
